Welcome to my new website!

Welcome to the new and improved Bambi Jane!

I’ve been working on my new website for a little while now, and I really hope you like the refreshed design.

As well as a change in looks, there’s going to be a change in content too. I’m going to be posting a lot more regularly, and as well as travel, I’ll be sharing a lot more about being a writer, being creative, and just little inspirational snippets that I want to record somewhere. I hope they bring a little bit of light into your day.

Perhaps the biggest change is that I’m going to be sharing some of my fiction here. Writing fiction (novels and short stories) is a huge part of my life, and something that brings me a lot of joy. Without meaning to sound hyperbolic, it gives me purpose – it’s something I always felt like I was meant to do.

Still, sharing my work online is a huge step for me. I’ve written for the internet for years in various shapes and forms, but I don’t think I’ve ever published any of my creative writing. Those who know me will know how incredibly shy I am about sharing my work, so the thought of putting it out there for all to see makes me feel a teeny weeny bit sick. But I want to be a published author, so there will come a day when my writing is going to be judged. I might as well get used to it early. So if you’d like to comment on, discuss or question anything I’ve written, feel free to do so (just please be kind!). At the end of the day, creativity takes courage, and I really respect anyone who puts themselves out there. So it’s time for me to do the same.

Anyway, enough rambling. Welcome to my new website. I really, really hope you like it here, and expect to hear plenty more from me soon.
